Sadly soon after Debbie decided to leave but we danced on as the Wythenshawe Starlettes for 5 years with great success and fun.Over these years we gained a wonderful group of dancers and supporters who made the Starlettes one of Wythenshawe best morris troupes.
At the end of 2007 we decided it was time for a change or dress,troupe colours and name.So with our new co trainers Nikki & Laura we became the NCL Diamonds we are today and are still going strong.
We started off about 6 years ago when Christine, Laura and Debbie left another morris troupe.After a long time and many Sundays of boredom they decided to use their dancing experience and decided to start their own troupe thus the Wythenshawe Starlettes were born.
We have built up a wonderful fan club from all the wonderful mums,dads,brothers,sisters,boyfriends and girlfriends who come to our practices and competitions to support our girls and boys and for that we thank you greatly.
We practice every Tuesday evening at Crossacres Primary School,Crossacers Road in Wythenshawe and currently have 4 lines and depending on your age the practice times for each line are as follows;
There is a tuck shop available selling drinks and sweets. You also have to pay sub money which goes towards funds for the troupe so we can buy new dresses and pumps etc. Subs are £2.50 per person and all money goes into troupe fund which contributes towards the cost of pumps, dresses and the christmas party.

If you dont have any morris pumps they are avilable to buy from Christine or Nikki at practice
